At
least 90% of migraines are caused by:
Contractions in the shoulder and neck muscles (temporary
disorder).
Overeating (temporary disorder).
Faulty position of the spinal cord (chronic disorder).
For the first two causes, all one needs to do is lie down, move
the neck and shoulder in slow
motion, and then fall asleep.
Chronic disorders instead are generally due to poor postures that
one assumes during the day and from the resulting deformation of
the structure of the spinal cord. In some cases, these imbalances
are also due to tight shoes or to dental work that has deformed
the natural position of the jaw. Once the posture error is specifically
identified, the pain disappears immediately.
But in order to obtain such results, you need to consult a specialist
and take a brief course. There are various re-educational "schools":
Meziere, Alexander, isometric exercises, and other similar courses. You
will find dozens of recommendations in New Age magazines. Take time
to choose the one that is right for you.
N.B. In some cases, headache also has concomitant causes of a purely
psychological nature. The general discussion on passive meditation,
relaxation, changing your point of view on life, etc., is therefore
valid.
